From the Engage Kingsport blog

Public Art Kingsport and Engage Kingsport invite proposals from artists for conceptual images and artwork to be used in the fabrication of banners for the parking garage in Downtown Kingsport. Banners will be 5 ft. wide x 14 ft. high on the Shelby Street side of the garage.

There is no pre-determined theme for artwork but PAK suggests that the content reflect the vibrancy of downtown, the beauty of the region, or landmarks of the community.

Individual artist, consortia of artists, and organizations who work and/or live within 100 miles of Kingsport area are encouraged to apply. There is NO entry fee.

All proposals must be received by Friday, March 2, 2012 at 5 PM.

Selection committee will include Public Art Kingsport members as well as Downtown Kingsport Association design members. Selected artists will receive $100 for each completed design.
